For Term 4 of 2024, the Middle Primary program is Parent-Led and child initiated (please note there are no fees for this gathering). Every week, families gather and children get to participate in their own Let Grow Play Club.

Let Grow Play Clubs are “clubs’ for children who get to decide and create their own projects that foster independence. The programs are entirely child-inspired, initiated, designed and implemented without parental guidance (and either no, or minimal supervision from afar, supervision from adults). The children become engrossed in unstructured, unsupervised risky free play and activities - whilst undertaking self-directed projects such as learning to catch a bus by themselves, building a cubby fort or digging a big hole, going to a cafe and ordering and eating by themselves with some friends, making a meal in the kitchen and sharing it with others (and cleaning up after), making a shopping list and going shopping, write letters and mail it.. the list is endless, and it’s up the children.

Meanwhile, parents gather and share a cuppa, connect and loosely supervise as appropriate for age / safety / activities.

In between Let Grow Play Club sessions, families will also undertake “Nature Study / Nature Journalling”, which is parent-led and inspired. Children will be required to bring a Nature Journal to draw, paint, write, stick things into - for their observational purposes.
